The Chauques are a close knit collection of islands separated by narrow sailable channels are found to the east of the well known town of Tenaun, and mark the southern boundary of the Gulf of Ancud. Historically, the Chauques Isles were an ideal place to store goods and from which to provision settlements established on the continent.
