+ Info
Apiao is one of a group of islands set on the northern edge of the Gulf of Corcovado. It has two interior lagoons, with a very narrow access canal. Once inside, there is good anchoring and a quiet sojourn. The quieter of the interior waters is connected to the other by a river which can be traversed in a small boat. Most of the local population lives on the edge of this lagoon, and it is here that the lovely Jesuit church was built.
